The CSME is supported by over 30 engineering schools/departments across Canada. The benefits for CSME Sustaining Members include:
- Annually, the CSME sends Sustaining Members up to three CSME Gold Medals to be awarded to a student of their choice (one each for undergraduate, Master's and PhD program levels). The criteria and timing for each medal award are set by the School/Department. The medals come with a certificate and are mailed to the department chair/head, usually in early April.
-
Sustaining Members are eligible to have student teams participate in the annual CSME Student Design Competition. This competition is held annually with the winners recognised at the CSME International Congress.
-
Each year, Sustaining Members may request one complimentary (free) half-page advertisement in the CSME Bulletin, e.g. to announce faculty position openings, conferences hosted by the school/department, etc.
-
The logo/support of each Sustaining Member is acknowledged on the CSME website (see below) and on the back cover of the CSME Bulletin, a magazine that is published twice per year.
